Accident Happens~

(Copied from my old blog iamnicabell.wordpress.com. I am moving my blog!!!)

Dear Lord, you have been my friend, my saviour and my father. You listened when I pray for you in hard time. And I am extremely thank you when you save my brother life and let him be strong in this hard time that he is having. And my family is grateful for those who came to visit my brother at the hospital, your prayer, wishes and your moral support. It will be hard without al of our out there.

I was not in any good relationship with my brother who got into the accidents. We always fought for some minor things and he is ALWAYS the one who started it. And as I grow up, his temper got worse. The we got into this really huge fight one day and we become estranged while still living in the same house. We go through years like that and one day, my mom told me that he was diagnosed with thyroid probs which explained his bad tempers. But as stubborn as I am, I refuse to forget how bad he treated me for all those years I was growing up. But, I am finally glad that we were able to close that old chapter. His accident is a painful lesson for all of us. We talked and joked and laughed. He seems fine under his thyroid medication.

My brother got into an accidents last week. That explains my absence in this blog. I have been busy helping my mom to send her food while she was watching my brother at the hospital while juggling with my work. It has been an exhausting week for my mother, boyfie and I. My father did help much which kind of frustrating for us. Don't get me wrong, he did help, but not much. He could have take turn with mother to take care of my brother at the hospital. But he stay at home instead. WTH? He was embarrassed that my brother got an accident? WTF?! Its definitely not his fault that the accident happened! It was the other party's fault and they also report the police saying they were at fault!

He even switched off his cell because his relatives were calling him asking if the rumour about my brother was in an accident was true or not!? Why would you do that? Is it wrong that they would want to be concerned? Is it a great embarrassment if they were to worry? We, who were at the hospital have to look like some idiots when they ask us why you did like what you did.
I can only jot till here. I am super tired I can get a whole long vampire slumber now.

Till then.

You will have no worry with audio as it gives out pretty load sound!
I was let down of the battery life. 6 hours? For real? I have to carry the charger wherever I go.
Like I said, its quite heavy. For me at least.

This is not a must have product and you can get an ACER laptop with few hundred RM more. But this tab is one of the cheaper but still handsome device out there.
Boyfie & I must thank DIGI Telecommunication Sdn Bhd for this lovely prize. I have been using DIGI line since 2006 and it is the best mobile line if you are on tight budget. Boyfie love it so much but don't have much idea how this thing can benefits him.

(UPDATED on 12/11/2011, 20:38 Malaysian Time ~ I can't help myself to edit this post with a computer. It's quite hard to edit it with the WordPress app for Android. They should work on something about the uploading media section.)

10 Shoes I Must OWN!!

(Copied from my old blog iamnicabell.wordpress.com. I am moving my blog!!!)

Yes! Women love love love love LOVE shoes.

There is a proverb saying: "Good shoes will bring you to good places." And I believe it is true!
Shoes are not just some clothing wear that we must use to protect our feet from harmful surface; Shoes are accessories!!

Women have so many types of shoes. There shoes for spring, summer, fall and summer season! On top of that, we have shoes for casual wearformal wear, to the beach (in this case FLIP-FLOPS!), sport wear, etcs.
I do not own to many pairs. I have 3 for work, 1 for formal wear, 2 canvas shoes and 1 flip-flops. - 7! See, I can count seven with my fingers so that is not a lot OBVIOUSLY. LoL!

I was inspired by a shopping blog in Yahoo! here

No. 1: ADIDAS Sneakers/ Sport Wear

I have been a big fan of Adidas but never bought one. They are expensive here but I adore their shoes!! Especially their Adidas Original line (Adidas Trefoil).

Adidas Originals – Easter Gazelle + Graph Stan Smith

Adidas Originals – Easter Gazelle + Graph Stan Smith

Adidas Supertar II Hearts

Adidas Women's Microbounce Etana Running Shoe

No. 2: Knee or OVER Knee Boots!!!

Dang! These boots are awesome! Sorry, I never wore one so I am so excited even looking a picture of them!! >.<

No 3: Ankle Boots

Ankle boots are rocking women feet this past few years. It used to be embarrassing to wear ankle boots before because most girls wore them with un-match outfits. (if your are unable to wear them with your clothes correctly, you will look silly because your legs seems shorter and unbalance with your torso.)

No. 4: Shoes with STUDS/ Beads

Studs and beads on heels are getting popular nowadays. I want to be in the hype too!

no. 5: Animal PRINTS

I just don't know how to use them before. But a friend teach me to wear simple clothing with jeans or 1 color clothing to rock this type of shoes if you don't want to take risk. (because the shoes is an enough risk. LMAO!)

No. 6:  Strappy 5 inch High Heels!! Eeeek!!!

I only use 3 inch heels not because I'm afraid of height. I just don't dare to take risk. LoL! But one of these days, I WILL BUY IT!

No. 7: Unique BRIGHT Colored Style Heels

They are stylish, and BRIGHT! I wonder where can I get this kind of shoes in KK shops/ mall. T.T

No. 8: GO Nude!!!

I never own one. It's not easy to find here as well. Because Malaysian LOVE colors!!!

No. 9: "Not Just Black" BLACK Heels

Plain ol' Black is boring. So seeing these kind of black heels are tempting. isn't it?

No. 10: Lather Pattern Heels

They might be Synthetic, PU, or real lather. But Lather Pattern sure gives out the classiness on you^^

There goes my 10 shoes I must own - before I.. get old? LoL! Gee.. these shoes makes me drool~ SERIOUSLY!!!

NicaBell: Halloween Horror

(Copied from my old blog iamnicabell.wordpress.com. I am moving my blog!!!)

Its a sad sad Halloween here in KK.

We Sabahan, well actually Malaysia do not celebrate Halloween. But we do accept the western culture and thinks that Holloween is a season for socialize. We don't do "trick or treat" though.

But I don't think that many will enjoy this year Halloween in KK for what happened at the Shell gas station opposites the Kota Kinabalu International Airport, around 5:30pm to 5:40pm, 31 Oct 2011.

A mishap happened where an oil tanker run to the front two coaches of a train.

There were reports that 18 people died, some reported 21 people died, some also reported no casualties but 6 people are injured. But I saw a friend gave an UPDATE:-
Hj Zain the railway GM has confirmed that there is no casualties on the train hit oil tanker incident in front of Kepayan Shell Station. Only one injured leg broken after falling down in a haste to escape and the oil tanker driver is safe too.

But the accident looked severe, it scares people. I was shaken and get teary eyes just looking at the pictures and videos posted.

May God Bless Sabah.

NicaBell: Green Tea

(Copied from my old blog iamnicabell.wordpress.com. I am moving my blog!!!)

I have a confession, I AM NOT A FAN OF GREEN TEA!!

I hate it. I hate how it taste - BITTER!!

I hate green tea cake, green tea mooncake, green tea chocolate, green tea flavored coffee, green tea sweets, whatever green tea!

BUT! I love how green tea smells like. The smell is calming and soothing for the mind. My bro always bought the green tea air freshener (forgot the brand name) and I really like it. I always dream to use it if I buy my own house in the future. But sadly, it was discontinue selling. I don't understand why. It was a very good air freshener actually!

So moving on!
I am trying to drink green tea currently. I knew all along that green tea contain multiple benefits for our body. But like a child, I hate bitter things. However, my dear father went to China before and bought one type of Long Jing Green Tea (which I'm not sure  which type it was), and to my surprise, tasted very different to many bitter green tea I have tasted before. It was bitter at first try, and it turn sweet and tasty on the tongue. I don't know if it is how its suppose to taste like but that was how I tasted it.

Only my father, younger bro and I enjoyed the taste of the Long Jing Green Tea. Father often made the tea in a Chinese teapot and serve for younger bro and I with some tiny Chinese tea cup. Green tea is best when served hot. That is when the taste and aroma can be tasted and smelled the best. Once the Long Jing Green Tea pack was finished, we weren't able to tasted it anymore. Father told us it was expensive high quality  green tea and spending his last RMB currency in China was indeed worth it. What best about the Long Jing Green Tea (according to father), only a small amount of it is enough to serve the whole family.  No wonder it takes 4 years to finish the whole package!

Originated from China, green tea become associated with many culture throughout Asia and it spreads through many western countries nowadays.

Green tea contains A LOT of healthy properties. I don't want to fill this post for all of what it contains but I must highlight that green tea:-
- is said to increase metabolic rates, speeds up fat oxidation and improves insulin sensitivity and glucose tolerance.
- lower stress hormone level (which good for those who work under stresses and PMS?)
- Blood platelet activation, which is linked to blood clotting and the risk of heart attacks. (good news for menstrual period!!)
- anti-venom effect (snakebites!!)
- 2009 study showed drinking three or more cups of either green or black tea per day can reduce the risk of suffering a stroke by as much as 21%
- is said to contain 3 times more caffeine than coffee.

There are many more healthy effect from drinking green tea. Ya'll should google them!! However, reading that green tea contains  3 times more caffeine than coffee is really concerning me. (Note that caffeine is good for athletic purposes, healthy weight loss, and effective in treating the symptoms of asthma.)  I don't drink coffee because of caffeine and how it taste. (like green tea, I LOVE how coffee smell like though ^O^) Caffeine cause migraine and gastric for me. It made me feel like I am moving faster than everything else as well which cause my headache afterwards. So, I think I should lower my green tea intakes like using the tiny Chinese teacup^^

Green tea is good, green tea is fantastic! Every good healthy things come bitter taste but brings sweet endings. I am trying to live healthy and I am just 23 so, why not starts now? It is never to late for anyone of you to join me!

let go GREEN with Green TEA!!

p.s. : just drank a cup of hot 'BOH' Green Tea and I feel a bit dizzy >.<
(NicaBell suggest: drink while it still hot so it won't taste as bitter as it is!!!)

NicaBell: The Day I Pamper Myself

(Copied from my old blog iamnicabell.wordpress.com. I am moving my blog!!!)
Ahh~ I am relaxing all day today.

I went out for a jog with boyfie in the morning at the Bukit Padang. Gosh! there quite a lot people there. Can you believe the late boomers can jog or walk faster than boyfie & I? I got so fat now I think it's time for me to get up and start the healthy lifestyle.

Then we went for some light breakfast at the Beverly Hills shops. Got ourselves Kueh Teow Fish Soup. I took the small bowl and boyfie had the large one. I can't believe that he can still have that huge appetite after a jog!

Then we went home and I do some karaoke alone while he played his MMO. By the time I finish my karaoke, I saw him sleeping. I got a little tired too so I have to join him. LOL!
I found a unused sheet mask on my cupboard today. It was one of the free gift I got from either Watson or Sasa (I think) early this year. It's an oil-controlling mask. It's the SOFIA - Wine & Soybean Extract Mask, Oil Controlling Mask, Natural Skin Care & Beauty Formulas.

Ingredients:
WINE EXTRACT, SOYBEAN EXTRACT, SODIUM HYALURONATE, ALOE VERA EXTRACT, 1, 3-BUTYLENE GLYCOL, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, METHYLPARABEN, PHENOXYETHANOL, WATER.

It says that:-
The mask is specially formulated with soybean and wines extract, rich in antioxidant properties to help protect your skin from environmental damage and the sign of aging. Infused with aloe vera and Sodium Hyaluronate leaves your skin silky smooth and radiant.

Application for all skin type. Non-alcoholic and non-fragrance.

Made in Taiwan.

I put it on an hour ago. People usually put on sheet mask on their face for 20 to 30 minutes. But I love puting it for 1 to 2 hours, depending how moisten or soak the mask is. I put this mask on my face about 9.15pm or so and it is just about 1 hour. I must say, even though this mask look soaking wet when I just pull it out of the packaging, I can feel it is barely wet now. But it feel so good on my face!!! The cooling sensation  on my skin, how easy to apply on my face, how it could cover my whole face, and how I feel glad that I could pamper myself with a free item!!

Taking it off is easy as well and I didn't go to the bathroom to wash my face. Because what is the point of using sheet mask if you are going to wash it off! Instead, I use my ring and middle fingers, using a soft circular motion, massage it till the skin absorbed them. Ahh~ I am not only feeling my skin is a lot softer and plumped, I can see my complexion is a little brighter. I think that the aloe vera also gives the cooling effect on my skin. It's been so long to get this kind of sensation. The best thing is that it didn't feel tight on my face!! Hooray^^

It feels good to pamper myself like this once in a while. But I don't anymore sheet mask! Dang! Well let see if I'll caught new pimples tomorrow. If my acne prone skin won't act up to the sheet mask, I'll buy the same brand AGAIN!

Anyway, I will update with the picture of the used sheet mask. I forgot to took a picture before I put it on my face.
That is all then.

p.s: Happy Deepavali to those who celebrate^^
